This program is designed for middle and high school American students to learn the Chinese culture and language by visiting China's capital, Beijing, as well as its burgeoning economic center, Shanghai. Additionally, students will spend one week of total immersion in the Chinese language and  receive art and history classes in our partner schools around the capital. The programs offers both June and July options and typically runs for  twelve to fourteen days.

We look forward to working with your school and students, both with and without prior Chinese language experience. CCEC offers a scholarship to students interested in going.  The student needs to be approved by their school principal based on a 300- word essay explaining why they want to go on the trip.
