GATE is a global alliance of over 200 top-tier STEAM focused K-12 schools, organizations and government entities seeking innovative methodologies to educate and develop talented students. GATE supports and helps talented students realize their potential, stimulating students' interests by crafting challenging programs to help individuals thrive.

GATE promotes communication and cooperation globally to help schools at all stages of development to obtain a high-quality international education. GATE works to establish important partnerships with the world's top universities and research institutes in order to better support the achievements of students and teachers. Some American GATE members include the National Consortium of Specialized STEM Schools (NCSSS), Oklohoma School of Science and Mathematics, Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology, as well as a variety of other  top-ranked independent schools.

Examples of partner schools in China include: Affiliated High School of Peking University, Beijing No. 80 High School, Beijing No. 8 High School, Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, and Starr River School in Shanghai. Membership is achieved through an application process.
