Huaiying Kang

Executive Director

Ms. Kang is the Founder and Executive Director of the Chinese Culture and Education Center (CCEC).

Huaiying attended graduate school at Virginia Tech for Chemistry and worked at Milliken Research Corporation for six years, earning a prestigious position as a Development Chemist. She left Milliken to pursue her passion for education which evolved into the Chinese Culture and Education Center. Over the last fifteen years, Huaiying has developed Chinese programs, written English curricula, and managed all international partnerships for the organization. 

Beth Stanton

International Program Officer

Ms. Stanton is the International Program Officer for the Chinese Culture and Education Center and the CAN Scholastic Foundation.  

 

Beth coordinates and promotes CAN and CCEC programs throughout the Chinese and American school systems. Her many years of experience with CCEC, coupled with regular visits to China, have given Beth first-hand knowledge of the benefits of cultural and educational exchanges.  Beth is an experienced ESL teacher; she regularly recruits the organization's talented school administrators, teachers, and students.  

Nancy Stewart

Director of CAN Scholastic Foundation

Nancy joined CCEC to assist in the creation and development of a foundation supporting gifted and talented students through a network of international education programs. She was involved in the foundng of CCEC and has been an active supporter of its programs. She attended Columbia University School of International Affairs, William Smith College, and the University of Pennsylvania. Nancy has over twenty years of international business and non-profit education experience.  Her passion is encouraging creativity through inspirational educational programs.

Jianli Wang

Senior Consultant

Dr. Wang is Senior Consultant for both CCEC and CAN Scholastic Foundation.

Dr. Wang earned a PhD in Chemistry from Virginia Tech as well an MBA from Duke University. Dr. Wang is the founder of two technology investment funds: CMP Education Tech and CMP Medical Technologies. He serves as a board member for the Duke-Kunshan University Foundation. Dr. Wang has been associated with CCEC since its inception and is one of the key marketing members promoting CCEC programs throughout the U.S. and China.

Mike Lopez

GATE Coordinator

Mike Lopez attends the Darla Moore School of Business in pursuit of his MBA in International Business. Mike spearheads the CAN online academy which will focus on bringing a STEAM- focused education to students all over China.
